The JATXML Portal automates one of academic publishing’s most tedious jobs: converting scholarly manuscripts from Word documents into the strict JATS XML format required by indexing bodies. The platform extracts metadata, authors, and references directly from DOCX files, validates the generated XML against official JATS DTD schemas and strict indexing rules, then packages the output for submission. It supports the full range of formats publishers need for indexing, including DOAJ submission packages, PubMed XML, Index Copernicus, HTML, and JATS XML, turning a manual, error-prone conversion process into a validated, repeatable pipeline.
